Summary
Flexible, water and frost resistant, cement-based tile adhesive mortar with a great adhesiveness. Attaches to most substrate types and can withstand modest deformations. Recommended for fixing of all types of ceramic wall and floor tiles and natural stones. Suitable for thin heated floors, swimming pools as well as weak absorbing tiles and clinker with water absorption below 0,5%. Grouting on walls - after approx 12 hours; on floor - after approx 20-30 hours.
Supplied 15 kg plastic strengthened paper bags.

white cement reduces alkaline discolouring
Use
mira 3130 superfix is applicable for fixing of wall and floor tiles on stable substrates made of concrete, concrete elements, light weight concrete, cast asphalt, gypsum board, Marmox insulation board, anhydrite or cement based rendering, water- or electric heated substrates, painted surfaces, old tile surfaces, terrazzo, surfaces insulated with 4400 multicoat and 4120 sealer. For use on terraces, balconies and swimming pools. Concrete substrates are reckoned stable when approx. half of the drying shrinkage has occurred.
Substrate Preparation
The substrate must be stable, dry, compact, cleaned of dust, grease, oil etc. Concrete slurry (if any) should be removed, weaker parts of substrate should also be removed and then repaired again. Remove dust with a vacuum cleaner. Grease, oil, dirt should be cleaned with 7110 base cleaner. Absorptive substrates should be primed with mira 4120 sealer, thinned with water, in the ratio: 1 part of 4120 sealer and 3 parts of water. Non-absorptive substrates e.g. made of ceramic tiles ect. need not to be primed.
Technical conditions
a. Mixing
3130 superfix should be mixed in proportion: approx. 0.25 l of water for 1 kg of powder. Mixed 3130 superfix should be left for approx. 20 minutes, then stir well - now it is ready-to-use. Best result gives mixing with a glue mixer.
b. Application
Prepared 3130 superfix should be applied with smooth side of a trowel and spread well on the surface, then spread with the toothed side of a trowel. Tooth size depends on the tile size.
c. Temperature:
Minimum air and substrate temperature +6°C
d. Application time:
After mixing 3130 superfix should be used within 6-8 hrs. It is not recommended to apply 3130 superfix on larger surfaces than it is possible to fix tiles before the skin effect appears on the adhesives surface i.e. after 20-30 minutes.
e. Drying time:
Grouting of joints is allowed after a period depending on absorption of tiles and on air temperature: for walls - approx. 6 hours, for floors - approx. 24 hours.
Consumption:
2.5 - 6.0 kg/m2 depending on tile type and size and surface smoothness.
Technical data:
Initial tensile adhesion strength* ≥0,5 MPa
Adhesion to light concrete 0,5 MPa**
Adhesion to gypsum board 0,15 MPa**
Modulus of elasticity 1,3 GPa
Thickness of layer 2 – 10 mm
The product is frost- and water resistant after hardening
* According to EN 12004 1a test method 8.2 of EN 1348:1997
** Fracture in substrate
Cleaning of tools:
Tools should be cleaned with water directly after use. Hard to remove remainings can be removed with mira 7120 ceramic cleaner.
Packing:
3130 superfix is packed in 15 kg plastic-strengthened paper bags with handle grips.
Storage and transportation:
Transport and store dry. Storage period; min.1 year from the production date in original and undamaged bags.
Industrial safety:
The product contains cement. Its reaction with water is strongly alkaline so protect skin and eyes. In case of contact clean irritated places with water and contact a physician. Keep out from reach of children.
